Chamoun

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Chamoun handles account, trip-planning, and public-review information when you use the service.

Information we collect

Chamoun may collect account details, saved trip information, app preferences, review ratings and text, review moderation results, user reports, block relationships, and basic technical information needed to provide and protect the service.

Public review information

An approved public review displays only the reviewer's Chamoun username, selected avatar or public profile photo, star rating, review text, review date, and an Edited indicator when applicable. Email addresses, real names, private account information, internal account identifiers, moderation records, reports, and block relationships are not displayed publicly.

How information is used

Information is used to provide trip planning features, sync account data, display and rank approved reviews, enforce one-review-per-attraction rules, prevent spam, process reports and blocks, moderate content, handle appeals and complaints, maintain safety, and support users.

Lawful processing

Chamoun processes information as needed to provide features you request, administer accounts, protect users and the service, prevent abuse and fraud, respond to support or legal requests, and comply with applicable law. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it for future processing through the available account controls or by contacting Chamoun.

Moderation processing

Review text is processed on Chamoun's servers and may be sent to a contracted automated moderation provider before it is published. Moderation credentials are not stored in the mobile app. Pending and rejected reviews are not shown in public review feeds. Authorized moderators may review reports, moderation reasons, and account review status when necessary.

Reports and blocks

Reports record the reported review, reporting account, selected reason, optional details, status, and timestamps. Reports are not public. Blocking records the relationship between the blocking and blocked accounts so their reviews can be hidden from one another; it does not delete the blocked person's content globally. Users can manage their own blocked-traveler list in the app.

Retention and deletion

Review and moderation records are retained while needed to operate and protect the review system. A user may delete their own review, which removes it from public results. Account deletion removes review records linked to that account from the primary review database. Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, or backup integrity.

Review choices

Users may edit or delete their own review, report another review, block or unblock another reviewer, and contact Chamoun about moderation or privacy concerns. Public reviews are optional; guests may read them without submitting content.
